Four Students from Coláiste na Carraige, along with another member, Paddy McShane, will represent Ireland in the European Young Entrepreneur competition in November, after winning the Youth Entrepreneur of the Year Award this year through Foróige.
The group of students started a mini-company called Milseog na Mara which produces jars of fruity, flavoured jelly desserts as well as a delicious chocolate mousse and all are made with Carrageen Moss seaweed picked from Donegal shores.
The desserts are 100% natural and are sweetened simply with honey and fresh lemon juice. The flavours offered include ‘Raspberry and Strawberry’, ‘Blackberry and Blueberry’ and ‘Lemon and Honey’.
The group, consisting of Aimée Byrne, Mary Kate Carr, Rebecca McShane, Ronan O'Hare as well as a new member, Paddy McShane, recently filmed with Eileen Magnier for RTE’s Nationwide, which will air on October 28th, after she visited them at their school in Carrick.
If you want to support the group, take a look at their website at milseognamaraonline.weebly.com or search for them on social media.
